Orweb will not set proxy on device

Description
Used to have issue describe in Bug 2629, same device, same android update to 4.4:
Just updated my Nexus 7 tablet to Android 4.4, and now, although Orbot starts and connects to the network through my wifi router, Orweb tells me "Orweb is unable to configure proxy settings on your device."
Updated Orweb when new version was released. Now I no longer get the message, but the default web page says that or web is not using TOR.
