This is not a bug in the site, the theme requires a custom field to determine content type. From the theme documentation:

"The fourth nav option is Media. The Media nav option selections are mapped to a custom template that's able to display content (not by Category), but rather by Custom Field (our media content type Audio Video Photos)."

Since there is no media content type being sent by the app the content is not displayed on the frontend. The app will need to provide the content type for it to appear.

The app also needs to attach status "published" to content. This is also related to issue #534

  • Priority changed from High to Urgent

This must be done before v1, else WRApp trainers will be forced to publish each story one by one, or users will have to access the wordpress backend in order to publish their own stories.

If we set wordpress to allow any authors to publish automatically it becomes a spam haven.

This is nearly resolved (working on adding custom fields to post now).

However, the app is now automatically publishing the posts, and you can see them via the "archive" view here:

  • Status changed from In Progress to Resolved

the proper custom_fields are now set on uploads so that they show up in the relevant categories, etc on the site. Please verify with next build!

You can see some new directly uploaded videos here: http://storymaker.cc/all-by-category/?medium=Video
