OTR between ChatSecure clients cannot start

Description
I have installed 14.0 on two android phones. On both phones ChatSecure OTR messages work as expected between phone and a desktop Pidgin client with OTR enabled. However, ChatSecure OTR messages cannot be started between the two phones. The little circle just goes around and around. One phone is a Moto X running 4.2.2 and the other phone is a Nexus 4 running 4.3.1
