we found that the master branch did not have the current android-ffmpeg-java pin and was failing to .format the file name string, which contained a %03d.jpg which turns out is an invalid filename on 2.3.x but not 4.x

is there a fix planned for this bug other than "don't use 2.3?"

I have updated one Sony Arc Xperia S to build 93.
On Sony Xperia Arc S running 2.3 photo essay still fails immediately, beginning at the "render" stage. I believe this is an issue with where StoryMaker is trying to write data, because there is another message that flashes briefly before "media export failed." From what I can see, I believe the message references a missing directory or directory error, but its too fast to be sure. I'm attaching a log to this comment so you can examine further. I'll work on updating this Arc S to 4.0 and see if the error persists.
On all other devices I have here, photo essay appears to work fine.

I can reproduce using the photos from brian's story this on the emulator, so it's a general 2.3.x issue.

We still experience slideshow export failing with Sony Xperia Arc S after upgrading to Android 4.0.4. Log and project file coming shortly.

the bug from Sony Ericsson XPERIA arc S LT18i, using Android 4.0,
failed exporting a slideshow , with voiceover, and without voice over.

The "stories" folder does not exist in the info.guardianproject.mrapp folder on the internal drive.
I asked Mustafa to copy that folder and paste it in the info.guardianproject.mrapp folder on the internal drive. After this was done, he was able to open the story in StoryMaker and successfully export a photo essay story.
