Description

I just tried some quick experiments with hooking up a real phone number from IPKall (http://www.ipkall.com/ ) to tanstagi and ostel.me. Neither worked, both returned "487 Not Acceptable Here" using CSIPSimple. Many many SIP providers work fine with IPKall, including callcentric.com and antisip.com.

It would be nice to have it work for ostel to make my ostel number work also with a phone number and a Google Voice. I don't know whether IPKall supports SIP/TLS tho.

Interesting idea. I really like the idea of being able to use a US phone number to call into Ostel.

Lee- what would it take? Seems like you can register a user on their host automatically. So do we just have to add a rule to call via a ipkall.com gateway?

I assume they don't use secure sip, which is why it fails. A network analysis would prove that.

For what its worth, it also doesn't work on tanstagi.net, which does still have port 5060 open.
