"share" is now working within the app that allows for upload of media via any registered Android "intent" that supports media receiving.

direct upload in a completely secure manner from within the app code itself is not yet implemented.

YouTube upload supported... do we also need to support direct upload for audio and photo to close this ticket?

Currently we support SoundCloud upload via the app.

Photo Essay upload is as mp4 video.

Still photo is just exported to Gallery app, so whatever mechanism is available on Android to share/upload can be supported.

Please provide feedback on this feature, indicating what additional functionality we need to implement (photo upload to flickr?). Moving to sprint 5.

should upload to flickr, integrate with flickr api?

ideally storymaker would publish to at least 2 different platforms for each media, Flickr, Picasa(google+?), YouTube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, audioboo(?), Public Radio Exchange(PRX) expressed interest in letting users host/archive, but i need to follow up with her now that we are closer to a complete app.

  • Status changed from Feedback to Resolved

I am closing this as resolved, as there is another ticket for Flickr API, and in general we have implemented this feature. You can also export media to the Gallery and upload via an Android app.
