Categories for the Site¶

SWN is developing a list of categories to inform the web platform. What follows is some initial thinking by Brian.

Sections¶

Sections are the top-level structure for stories produced by StoryMaker. Think of these like the sections of a newspaper. The public topics can be selected within StoryMaker. The private topics would be assigned by an admin or by default (all stories might be "feature story" by default) The initial topics are:

Politics
Business
Sports
Arts
Science
Health
Education
Environment
Technology
Travel

Private¶

Featured Story
Special Report

Topics¶

Where the user can define the topic of their story. i.e. Jan25, pussyriot, sandy. So that people can see stories across multiple sections.

Location¶

Needs to at least be broken down by country initially. Ideally, it would be able to be broken down further into province and/or the largest cities.

Medium¶

Users¶

The individual page for Authors. Potentially, the mentors could also have a page for them to see and review all the content produced by their trainees.
