Testing on my Nexus One, after ditching doing tests on my emulator, I found a few methods in the block where i do image hashing were not compatible with pre-api 12 devices. i implemented a try/catch to handle devices without access to these new methods.
Bryan, please pull the latest APK and let me know how you fare. you can close this ticket if you find that bug has been sufficiently squashed.
