logging in / creating account

Description
I am going around in circles. This the 2nd time I have tried. Both using my own WP account and making a new one.
I just keep ending up with user not recognized. I have tried all permutations of making a new account, going to WP to reset paswrd. Making a new account with the app. Logging in there with storymaker screen then with WP screen. I have used all my email addresses and can't make anymore accounts to try again.
any ideas? is there any documentation on how the login works? is it a WP.com or a WP.org login that's being used.

so this was Emer.
after a chat with Brian I removed my gmail account from the settings and uploaded my first video with my gmail address.
and then it worked! I published a storymaker video.
the phone i use is a galaxy s advance.
