Description
Free Press Unlimited's Zimbabwe Program Coordinator, Nada, has asked that SWN provide a redacted/updated curriculum to reduce the risk of Zimbabwe-based trainees. She will provide notes on redacting the curriculum. Because we do not want to fork the app, and wish to make it easy for anyone in Zimbabwe to receive the Mobile Community Zimbabwe curriculum, we have a proposed revision:
Curriculum should be selected within the "settings" menu, whereby the user makes a choice to select their requests either WRApp English, WRApp Arabic, or Zimbabwe Mobile Community.
Effectively the settings change would simply request the new redacted curriculum from: http://storymaker.cc/appdata/lessons/zim/ or http://storymaker.cc/appdata/lessons/mcz/ for example.
NATHAN-can you answer whether this is doable based on the current architecture, and whether 5 hours of time would be enough to solve the problem?

I understand from Nada that you're going to work on one updated English version by updating parts of the curriculum. So I guess we can close this request?

actually... reopening this after a discussion here at FPU. I think it makes great sense to have a library of curriculum versions that people can choose from, with the existing English and Arabic options listed, and a new English-Zim/African version available.
This could be implemented with about 1 hour of work and a few hours of testing, feedback, bug fixes. 5 hours total works if that is available.

Nathan, this is important but not necessary in Dev Sprint 5.

Nathan, here is the ticket!

I think the feature then is:
Allow for a configurable setting for lesson content that is not tied to the language/locale settings.

Currently there is a menu "Locales" in settings. I would like to rename that to Localization and add the following two sub settings. Both of which should be lists of the possible options to allow flexibility as we add more languages and lesson content for the app.
Localization¶
Language¶
- Arabic
- English
Lesson Content¶
- Middle East
- North American
- Southern Africa
This will change which directory is being accessed to download the lessons.
the ar folder is accessed for the Middle East content.
the en folder is accessed for the North American content.
the sa folder is accessed for the Southern Africa content.

Perhaps we can make lessons content:
Lesson Content
Middle East and Northern Africa
Europe and North America
Southern Africa
