Description
Since the newest version Orbot on Google Play asks for the permission android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE (Device ID & call information). This totally deanonymizes the user, in a software that is designed to provide maximum possible anonymity.
So either Orbot has been replaced in Google Play by a version assembled by some secret service or smaller parts of the Orbot development team must be be out of their mind.
I prefer to believe the first variant is in effect and have immediately deinstalled Orbot and Orfox. That's also why I have set priority to highest severity. If the second variant applies, feel free to lower the priority to urgent.
