Description
Facebook dropped support for their XMPP service: [[https://developers.facebook.com/docs/chat]]
It would be great if ChatSecure could implement the new protocol. This same work is already being done for libpurple (Pidgin): [[https://github.com/jgeboski/purple-facebook]]

I'm not a Guardian Project dev, but I would not hold much hope for this.
ChatSecure is a XMPP app. Facebook dropped support for XMPP. This would mean taking ChatSecure in a different direction, one of a multi protocol client.
That seems very unlikely from where I stand.
Libpurple/Pidgin are designed to be multiprotocol, so the comparison is not really valid I'm afraid.
Cheers
