Description

Here is the text for the email:

Open Secure Telephony (Ostel) is an open source service and application suite for easily making secure voice phone calls.

To sign you up to be a test user on this tool as it is in private alpha, please fill out the form below and we will send you information on getting involved.

[PGP Key (Optional)] (put faded example in the signup box i.e. B92B CA64 72F7 C6F0 8D47 8503 D2AC D203 B374 CBD2)

Ostel.me will provide open protocol (like Tanstagi [https://tanstagi.net/], Intimi.ca [https://intimi.ca/]) for companies to host their own secure internal server for communication. The Ostel app integrates the service for easy use and is based on additional existing open source client code provided by the CSipSimple [https://code.google.com/p/csipsimple/], pjsip [www.pjsip.org] and ZORG [http://www.zrtp.org/] projects. For more information on Ostel, please visit our wiki [https://guardianproject.info/wiki/OSTN].

Greyed out box with an onclick? Javascript style? That's crazy...I'll give it a shot.

You said text "for the email" but it resembles the web site more. I'll add it to there.

#4 Updated by n8fr8 almost 6 years ago

  1. I updated the logo to make the image smaller and inline with text. it was driving me crazy the way it was before: https://github.com/guardianproject/OSTel/blob/master/webapp/public/images/logo.png
  1. there is something weird going on with link css on my chromium. the links overlap with the text: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0942liua2
  1. Please replace/enhance the text at the bottom to say:

This service is a public testbed of the Open Secure Telephony Network (OSTN) project, with the goal of promoting the use of free, open protocols, standards and software, to power end-to-end secure voice communications on mobile devices, as well as with desktop computers. Other OSTN instances include Tanstagi (https://tanstagi.net/) and Intimi.ca (https://intimi.ca/).

The Ostel.me Android app is based upon the open-source CSipSimple [https://code.google.com/p/csipsimple/] app, which utilizes the pjsip [www.pjsip.org] and ZORG [http://www.zrtp.org/] libraries to provide transport and media encryption and verification.

For more information on OSTN, please visit our wiki [https://guardianproject.info/wiki/OSTN].

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help on this. I can easily update the graphics and language if I have the login.

Nathan: we discussed the .apk being hosted on ostel.me. Is it ok to have a download instead from the Guardian site?

I updated the copy and the logo. I can't reproduce the CSS problem locally but I'd like to debug more since I don't have browser-specific CSS knowledge. I've uploaded my screenshot from Chrome 16 on Linux. I think it's okay to have the .apk delivered from the guardian domain until it's in F-Droid and Playstore.
