Sorry to bother you guys but im completly ignorant at cryptographic chatting. I have only android and struggling to use it.
I get a message when I commence a chat regarding otr. Im using android and i have no desktop but gleen that perhaps i need it for this feature to work?
It says this server requires otr and the lock icon remains unlocked at the top with a red cross. I can post with an ambigous red tick next to it followed by a message from jabber (server?) Saying otr is required for security.
I guessed to try activate keysync beleiving it related to otr but i get a message flash stating the desktop file convertor requirment and copying a file root directory of android.
Im totally clueless/confused and cant learn this.

Are you using ChatSecure? Is the other person also using ChatSecure?
