This place seems to have more serious issues with these languages!
Anyway, i attached the original text as an image.

I'm elevating the priority on this one since it makes Farsi and Arabic text very hard to read.

I'll have a look at this.

Any info on what device this is on? Arabic support is flaky at best for 2.x devices, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7962704/how-to-support-arabic-text-in-android.
I can't reproduce this on my device. Would be great with some more info on device and system language.

This is on Samsung i9105p with Android 5 on it(CyanogenMod), Farsi & Arabic are supported even as system wide languages.
Also Courier shows the feed/post titles correctly and the issue only exist in showing up the actual content.

Hm, I wonder if this has something to do with the Lucida Grande font we use. Googling gives things like this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435545
Carrie, where did we get the font? Maybe there is a similar font with Arabic support we can use?

If the Lucida Grande is causing the problem, we can switch to using the system font. I have no problem doing that if it fixes the problem. We got the 'Lucida Grande' font file from my computer. You can download it for free though in a number of places.
RE: Maybe there is a similar font with Arabic support we can use?
I'm not familiar enough with Arabic fonts to know what would be similar. The most important thing is that it's a nice font to read.
Mikael, do you want to try switching to the system font (roboto) to see if that changes the arabic rendering?
