doesn't seem to build on MacOS Mavericks

Description

I get an exception about the C compiler not being able to create executables in the sox build when I run the configure_make_everything.sh script. Any ideas? I'm on a Mac Pro Notebook on Mac OSX 10.9.4. I modified the settings.sh so the variables will recognize ndk10 values. (ie set the platform to default to L, gcc to version 4.9 vs 4.6, etc)
