One small issue: just because the image isn't saved in the DCIM folder does NOT mean that it won't appear in the gallery. The media scanner pulls in images and video files from any public folder on the disk, and that will be in the gallery regardless.
FIX: prepended "." to the InformaCam folder, which should signal to Android that those files should not be indexed. However, this might not be uniform across all versions of the OS.
