I was thinking, if we can't implement a custom camera soon, one middle ground may be to improve integration with the camera to be more seamless like what you have working here. How about it +Josh Steiner, +Steve Wyshywaniuk, if we spent some time revising the relationship between the full screen live preview overlays and the actual camera resolution, this might be a big improvement to the user experience...obviously custom camera is real solution, but how difficult would the middle ground be??
