Description
With the latest build from my end, I can now register my credentials on the public dev/demo server.
I am "nat-qa-1".
What happens now? Who is responsible for confirming me? Is there an email notification of any sort?
As a user, what do I see on my end? The app has no indication that I have registered, and I am not sure how long it will take to get anything back from the server.
At the very least, we need to write up a testing guide for beta 1 users to explain all of this, so they know what to expect. For beta 2, we need to have a better user experience to mitigate expectations and to ensure users don't think something is broken.

OK-- this actually addresses a greater need:
1) notifications: why is the list adapter that holds them not updating automatically?
2) notifications manager should also either a) toast on receipt of new message or b) show a notification bar message (what do you think?)
