Description Github provides good collateral freedom support, has solid HTTPS, and static paths. It can serve as an fdroid repo host. @fdroid server update@ will need to overwrite the existing git repo each time to update the repo without adding it all to the git history. While it might be useful to have a git history, github has a 1GB limit on free repos, and the Guardian Project repo is currently 1GB. For the URL, the "raw" hostname must be used, not "github.com".
