Log on the left hand side scrolls extremely laggy

Hi
The log that you can pull in from the right border of the screen is not nice to scroll up or down. It is extremely laggy. Also its a pain to scroll down to the bottom to see the newest events. It would be nice, if the log would be less laggy and already scrolled down to the newest entry when pulled in.
