Nexus 7 - Paik 1.0.5 and ChatSecure 13.1.2 Android 4.4
using fresh installs of Paik and ChatSecure (unused, unconfigured), invoke Paik to start initial configuration and load. Once articles load, select an article and then tap to enter group discussion. Paik properly requests a nickname and invokes ChatSecure. This happens properly and user with proper nickname enters the chatroom (this succeeds in both the case of this user initiating the chatroom and this user joining an existing chatroom). It is then possible to type a message and send the message to the chatroom, but that message does NOT appear on the user's chat-dialog screen. Other users CAN see the message, but both outgoing and incoming messages do not appear.
This failure did not occur on Nexus 5.
