Description
This is still an issue with 12.7.1 (I'm opening this since #2091 has been closed)
First of all: I've been able to add my google account and send some messages (so, the bug doesn't seem to be utterly deterministic)... but then when opening up gibberbot again, I kept finding it disconnected
At first I assumed the fault on my 3g connection, but then I realized that even if the connection seemed to work fine, logging in to gtalk with gibberbot was completely unreliable
In fact, the last messages I received were from 5 days ago and today I have been completely unable to signin even a single time
On my desktop I use Jitsi as an XMPP client without any problems, and yesterday I setup gibberbot to connect to facebook with xmpp, and it works just fine... so now I realized that the problem isn't with my connection, or google's xmpp (ok, it uses non standard extensions, but it works on other clients, and I'd expect it to work better than facebook's)
I tried to setup manually an xmpp account for my gtalk, instead of using the "google account" option, but the issue still stands
I also enabled "foreground priority", hoping that it would help with connection issues
Please let me know how can I supply you some relevant debug information
