12.6.5 from Play Store, running on Android 4.2.2 (CM 10.1.3)
The peer is on gtalk. There is obviously no OTR there, but in the past I did try to enable OTR with her using a different xmpp client. I receive messages from her in ChatSecure normally. When a message from her arrives, or when I open a chat with her, the indication in the chat window is that encryption is off (obviously). When I enter text and press the "send" arrow on the right, nothing happens. The first attached file is a logcat collected while trying to send multiple times. There is nothing of interest in that file.

When I, for experiment, press the Encryption button on the top of the screen (the one with "OFF" in it), there is a crash. Logcat is attached, there is a NullPointerException there.
