Description
In v12.1.0 (beta1) inbound offline messages are silently dropped with default settings. There is no indication that a message sitting on the XMPP server has been retrieved.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Set up a OTR relationship with a desktop peer.
2) Close both desktop and ChatSecure clients.
3) Open desktop client and send a message to the offline ChatSecure account.
4) Close desktop client.
5) Open ChatSecure. Note that no message arrives. It's lost.
Workaround:
If you set the Setting, "Chat Encryption" to "As Requested", instead of the default "Automatically Attempt", you will properly receive the offline message in step 5 above.
This also affects clients as far back (as I know) as v11rc3. The same workaround worked there too.
